Weddings
We offer the perfect setting for your wedding reception opposite the beautiful St Peters and St Paul’s church. The hotel is steeped in history, with the older part being an original 17th century coaching Inn. Over the years additions to the buildings have resulted in the facilities which we can provide today.
We can accommodate parties from 10 to 130 for a sit down meal or up to 200 for a buffet. At The George Hotel we pride ourselves on our personal attention to detail, the courtesy of our team and the superb choice of cuisine. We are happy to offer our advice throughout the planning – wine selection, menu choices, seating plans, place cards and entertainment. Same sex weddings are also welcome at The George Hotel.

Squires Restaurant
The restaurant is suitable for less formal gatherings catering for small numbers for up to 40 people, The wooden beams and the fireplace offering a venue with atmosphere and elegance.
The Regency Suite
The perfect setting for wedding receptions of 50 up to 130 guests. This self contained room is the perfect setting both for the wedding reception and evening entertainment. It has full bar facilities as well as the advantage of a stage.
